Before those setbacks, “Durinho” had back-to-back wins over Jorge Masvidal and Neil Manny.

Meanwhile, Michael Morales (17-0 MMA) is trying to keep his perfect record in place tonight. The fast-growing welterweight candidate recently joined the action this August, earning a first-round TKO victory over Neil Manny. Before that finish, Ecuadorian standouts were in decisive victory over Max Griffin and Jake Matthews.

One of the main events of UFC Vegas 106 begins, with Michael Morales at the octagonal center. He looks much bigger than Gilbert Burns tonight. “Durinho” with a wonderful low kick. Morales replies that he is one of himself. Burns charges forward with a gust of wind. When Burns returns to range, Morales lands his sleazy right. A lovely left from the former title challenger. Good 1-2 Michael Morales. He lands his right hand. Burns jumps in with another gust of wind. He lands a good low kick at the end of the rush. The big uppercut surprises Gilbert Burns. Morales will be in a good 1-2. Gilbert Burns gets it by diving on the takedown. Morales immediately scooped into the cage and stood up. He begins to unload the collapsed burns. A bigger shot. Burns gets up but is sent back soon, and this is all over! oh!
