Jofra Archer has been ruled out from the upcoming ODI series between England and the West Indies due to proper thumb damage.

The right-handed pacer was injured during the IPL 2025 match between the Kolkata Knight Rider and the Rajasthan Royals. He was injured while fielding during the match on May 4th. The injury appeared minor at that time, but further evaluation confirmed ligament damage. As a result, he also missed the last two games of the Rajasthan Royals at IPL 2025.

Jofra Archer was expected to fit in time for the ODI series against the West Indies, but he is now ruled out. England named Luke Wood an Archer alternative.
