Quartararo Pole: “It’s starting to get really fast,” Alex Marquez “Angry,” Bagnaia “Close the gap to Alex”

Fabio Quartaro highlights his and Yamaha’s red-hot time offensive form, with the third MotoGP pole continuing with chilly silverstone.

“One lap, we’re starting to get really, really fast,” the Frenchman said. “The confidence I have on my bike is great, but I know when I keep making more laps (it’s not that easy).

“But I feel good. We’re taking a good step. Of course, the goal is to get closer and closer in the race.”

Quartarraro, the podium for the Spanish Grand Prix, was pushed down for the fourth time in his home’s Le Mans sprint before crashing in a wet race.

While Cartalaro has become Paul’s familiar face, title leader Mark Marquez collided from the front row for the first time this year.

Instead, it was his brother Alex Marquez – it was the closest to Quartaro (+0.309S) who caused the red flag after a big high side in the final practice.

“Yeah, certainly we’re there. But I’m very upset with myself,” Alex said after qualifying.

“I made that mistake this morning. That highside is trying to overtake Sonkiat (Chantra). Such mistakes can cost us a lot in the championship, so we need to control more risks in that moment on the weekend.

“But apart from that, I was able to make good rap time and I also think we’re very good at rhythm.”

Excellent for the fast right-hander of Silverstone, the Grecini Rider is tilted as a rider who lost to both Mark and factory Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia.

However, Alex said he has little experience with the soft front.

“I think these guys are a little more prepared than us for the sprint, as they work a little better than us with yesterday’s soft tires.

Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia shot down the suggestion that the mark, which refined the mark, was a sign that ultimately found front-end confidence against the GP25.

“It was extremely difficult on the bike this morning. There’s no emotion yet. It’s difficult in these conditions,” Italian said.

“But the front row is always good, so I’m happy to start with the front row in both races. Now, we’re going to take another step this afternoon to see if we can fill the gap with Alex.”

This season, Mark, the winner of all six sprint races so far, will start this afternoon’s race with a 22-point lead over Alex.
