According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between Liverpool and Bayer Levalksen on the proposed transfer of Florian Whartz continued on Monday, resulting in Merseysider submitting its first offer for the 22-year-old German International service.
The offer is believed to total over 100 million euros, including various incentives Liverpool is trying to tackle the deal. Leverkusen has received an offer and is currently considering it. As negotiations continue, no response has been given yet.
Wirtz was also very interested in Bayern Munich, and before that he had been linked to Manchester City and Real Madrid, but he reportedly told his current employer he just wanted to join Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Liverpool is already believed to have completed one signature from Leverkusen. Jeremy Fripon reportedly signed a five-year contract, but no official confirmations have yet been received from either club.
Florian Warts’ first official bid for a package that exceeds 100 million euros, including the Liverpool add-on, was received by Bayer Lebakusen.
Club negotiations are underway and we will restart today to complete the transaction soon.
