Everton defeated Newcastle United at St. James Park to finish the 2024/25 Premier League campaign high, finishing 13th with 48 points.
Strangely enough, David Moet has led Toffee to the best league finish since 2020/21. We’re far from mid-season misery when Sheen Dish was fired in Goodison Park in his final year and walked the tenuous line between safety and drop zones.
The improvements are enormous. But Everton still lacks that particular thing in the attack. Certainly, only the teams that were demoted ended their term with Parier’s scoring goals.
A new striker is needed, and Moyes means bringing in one.
Top Target urged Everton to sign
Tony Cascarino of Talksport urged Liam Dellup in Ipswichtown to sign Everton this summer.
This follows a revelation from Fabrizio Romano in relation to the ongoing transfer saga, where journalists are looking to confirm Everton’s vested interests, present the project to the 22-year-olds, and meet the striker’s £30 million release clause.
Cascarino believes Dellup could be “lost in the system” with Chelsea and the Red Devils, but as an Everton star man and under Moe’s wings at the time, he could be the right move at this stage of his career.
Talksport Pundit said: “He fits in a lot of clubs, but you need to find a club that you think is best for him. It’s not just “go to Man United or Chelsea.” There’s something about me with Moi. Calm down, get in the team and do what you expect from them. ”
Why Everton should sign Liam Dellup
Called the No. 9 “Beast” by Ipswich’s teammate Jens Cajuste, former Manchester City Academy Star Dellup thrived in his first year in the Premier League.
Scoring 12 goals from 32 starting appearances on Kieran McKenna’s exiled side, he proved himself worthy and has what he needs to succeed for a higher competitive team on the table.
Dominique Calvert Lewin’s future is uncertain at the end of the contract, but he could write a new contract, but Armando Bruja returns to Chelsea after a failed loan spell.
At the very least, Beto has made money under the wing of the Moyes and has scored seven goals from 18 Premier League fixtures since the Scots’ arrival, but he hasn’t been consistent.
It’s clear that Delap is an upgrade and not only is it more clinical, but it also has physicality and combativeness to match Moyes’ vision.

Delap may have produced a rather harsh passing completion rate in the Premier League this season, but it has since generated beto. If anything, this demonstrates its ability to thrive in conditions that could settle on the hills of Dickinson Stadium in the next semester.
He frequently converts chances and is willing to get stuck in the portrayal of praise praised for his muscular Beto.
Beto’s pace and pie drive movements also add a dimension to Moyes, but Delap is able to bring his own brand, perhaps even surpassing Bissau-Guinean’s ball-carrying ability.
According to FBREF, Delap is ranked in the top 13% progressive carry in Europe’s top 5 leagues over the past year, and in the top 7% to successfully make take-ons per 90.
A successful take-on is recorded when the player defeats the opponent while bringing the ball directly into the possession.
The Ipswich striker won’t be cheaper, but there’s a reason many Premier League clubs want him to sign this summer. This is an opportunity that Everton cannot afford to pass them. Because if he arrives he will jump over Beto and into the first choice spot.
