Magic Johnson offered an apology for his views on Thunder’s championship chances. He also had something to say about former laker Alex Caruso.
The Oklahoma City Thunders made an easy advance into the NBA Finals after a 124-94 victory with the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5. It is difficult to deny title favourite status.
Despite being the best team in the regular season during the 2024-25 campaign, some people are questioning about OKC.
Thunder’s historic first half performance against Minnesota blew them out of the water. The way they dealt with the Timberwolves appears to have gained a lot of belief in the team.
Magic Johnson has consistently made a positive voice in the game. His social media is a bit literally, but he often praises the current NBA team and its success.
The former five-time champion knows everything it takes to win the title. However, he didn’t believe the Thunder had what he took this season.
However, following his dominant performance in WCF, the magic changed his mind. He took him to social media to share his change of heart.
“I would like to apologise to the Oklahoma City Thunder for underestimating them and not thinking they were ready to compete for the championship,” Magic wrote.
Alex Caruso is a pivotal member of this Thunder roster. His defense during the postseason was fantastic. NBA analysts are talking about whether he could have defended Shaquille O’Neill.
It may be a bit big, but it shows just how shocking the previous Lakers were. He also won the championship in Los Angeles, and it took Magic to send him a special celebration.
“Congratulations, former Laker and NBA champion Alex Caruso are currently playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder and heading for the NBA Finals!” Johnson said in an X post.
Being a two-time champion is huge for Caruso. He is already one of the league’s most coveted role players, and his star somehow continues to rise.
