Arsenal is planning a serious improvement to their forward line this summer.
The gunners were 10 points below the 2024/25 Premier League title, but in reality they were far inferior to the relentless Liverpool side this year.
Mikel Arteta’s men lost on goals scored by Manchester City (72) and the Reds (86) in the Premier League this quarter.
Arsenal is available for expiry of Leroy Sane contract
Certainly, the Premier League runner-ups spent a significant portion of the campaign without the best offensive threat in Bukayosaka. England International missed 13 top flight games.
Anyway, the hope is that a move like RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesco can be seen returning the pendulum in court by Arsenal.
Similarly, further moves to strengthen the left with potential free agent Leroy Sane will not undermine its ambitions.
“This week (until 2029) Bayern signed Jonathan Tar. We had a meeting with FC Bayern sports director Max Ebal and agent Pini Zahabi (Restaurant Kafer). Christian Falk notified only CatedOffside in his latest Fact file column.
“His other client at the club, Leroy Sané, was also under discussion. Bayern hopes to sign a potential free agent until 2028.
“But now other clubs are interested. Zahavi talks with Tottenham and Arsenal, but Chelsea isn’t very specific.”
So of course, it depends on what is sane that Bayern’s contract proposal reportedly improved. The current conditions for German international in Munich are expected to expire this summer.
Arsenal needs to improve Martinelli and Torosad
At 23, Arsenal hopes Gabriel Martinelli’s numbers will improve in the long term.
However, the fact remains that neither the Brazilian nor the Leandro Trossard produces the kind of numbers they expect from a wideman who has won a Premier League title.
The pair outperformed Group XG (14.62) by 1.38 with goals from 16 leagues. However, this is still quite short on Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz’s Collective XG (19.11), with overperformance of the pair with Liverpool’s 23 top flight goals in the same season.
Perhaps a small deficit, but you should have seen Arsenal’s jumping Manchester City for a league goal scored in 2024/25.
Ultimately, the need for quality is a need for a central scorer, but it’s a small left flank victory that will help the gunners bridge the gap with their next term.
