This was Betty’s pin-up sophomore victory last summer when he won a regret (G3) at the 3-year-old Churchill Downs. She finished second in the Churchill Di Suff Turf Mile (G2) simply headed forward on the Kentucky Derby undercard last month.

“She likes to be outside the horse, so even if we lost a little position early, it probably worked out in her best condition,” the maker said. “I didn’t get the best photos last time, but thankfully I did it today.”

Charlene’s dream led the field of 11 fillies and mares early in the race, passing through a comfortable quarter mile split of 23.75, 47.45, 1:11.35. In the middle of the final turn, I pinned up Betty and turned five widths to draw in the competition. She caught Charlene’s dream on the 8th pole and followed Wire for victory.

“I really enjoyed riding this mare. She’s a fun horse to ride,” Saez said. “She works hard every time. Today, she likes solid ground and seems to be really enjoying this grass course.”

Pin-up Betty returned $12.50, $6.40 and $4.36 as third bet options for the 5-1. Charlene’s dream paid $8.04 and $5.56 under the 7-1 conflict of Rafael Bejarano. Frankie Dettori was 3-1, and Movin’ On Up went back three-thirds and paid $3.52 for the show, three-quarters long.

Movin ‘Abown’ Aboard Movin ‘Aboard’s foul claims were made against Betty and Charlene’s dreams, allegedly suspected of the incident at 16th Paul. It was banned by the stewards after review and there was no change in the order of the finishing.

It was the fourth three-quarters long, returning to Venencia, followed by 5-2 favorites Deep satin, duvet, Adlastia, Gabea, Serine Seraf and neon icons.

On a 13:3-6-1 record, the first prize of $146,560 increased Betty’s revenue to $774,591.

Pinup Betty is the four-year-old constitutional daughter from Kentucky.
