Carlos Prates is not explicit about not being the opponent for Conor McGregor’s return struggle.
UFC CEO Dana White stated he’s optimistic in regards to the “notorious” fighter’s return to the Octagon. Though no date has been confirmed, the UFC boss admitted to reporters that Worldwide Battle Week seems like an excellent alternative. McGregor probably will not face Preitz in his first struggle since 2021, contemplating Preitz will face Jacques de la Maddalena on Saturday.
In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Preetz stated he was not shocked by McGregor’s determination to not share the Octagon.
